Using the opportunity of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, some #SOLARX women involved in engineering, teaching and research provided inspirational statements about the importance acknowledging the role that women play in driving innovation and scientific progress, while encouraging more young people to pursue STEM careers.
This time, SOLARX partners put together Science, Technology, and Innovation focusing the role of #WomenInScience as relates to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Of the five SDGs in the focus, two are especially relevant to SOLARX, namely SDG 7 (affordable and clean energy) and SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure). To both, SOLARX consortium is contributing through their work in the project for the future implementation of carbon-neutral or even carbon-negative, energy system.
