Join us online on 18th September from 10:00–11:00 for the first SOLARX webinar!
Want to learn more about possibilities of modelling, analyzing and simulating complex energy systems?
The SOLARX partner EMD International has recently developed an advanced model of the SOLARX system using energyPRO, the leading software for modelling, analysing and simulating complex energy systems including cross sectional optimization. The created model enables us to assess and maximize the operational income, monitor electricity generation from each specific unit, enhance system flexibility delivered by the storage capacity, and dispatch the receivers for optimal operation. Using energyPRO, we are ready to make the SOLARX system more efficient and profitable, helping to create a more sustainable energy future.
Here is a preview of what will be revealed:
- Prof. Jerome Barrau, SOLARX project Coordinator, will start explaining the innovative concept and the benefits of integrating multiple receivers in a single tower.
- Ms. Marta Murkowska, R&D Engineer at EMD, will go through the process of setting up a SOLARX system model in energyPRO. She will demonstrate how to utilize the online database of irradiance, present the assumptions made in modelling the solar field and receivers and explain the integration of the molten salt heat storage and steam turbine.
- Prof. Anders N. Andersen, R&D project responsible at EMD, will follow revealing the optimization results of the SOLARX plant, highlighting the system’s flexibility and the benefits of heat storage.
Engage in a discussion about the challenges faced when modelling complex energy systems and performing cross-sectional optimization. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and participate in an interactive conversation with our experts.
